Webinar: CVs and (online) interviews to impress
This seminar is aimed at students preparing or in the process of applying for internships or jobs in English. Due to time constraints, the focus will be on compiling a strong and informative CV, and on dealing with interviews and interview questions, especially in an online context. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions about other aspects of the application process. There are explanations and samples, but also practical exercises, which students should be prepared to participate in.
After the webinar, participants:
Learning Objective 1: recognise what is important in compiling a strong, informative CV.
Learning Objective 2: communicate their relevant experience using strong formulations.
Learning Objective 3: deal with typical interview questions.
Learning Objective 4: deal with areas of difficulty in their applications.
Learning Objective 5: participate in (online) interviews with confidence.
Important notes: If students have prepared CVs in English that they are prepared to share, I can give some brief online feedback and answer some questions during / after the seminar. Webcams on please! We can’t work on (online) interview skills without them.
When: Friday, 26. November 2021; 09:45 a.m. – 01:00 p.m
The seminar deals with two main topics – CVs and preparing for and mastering (online) interviews. The time will be divided relatively equally between the two topics (depending on students’ interests) and there will be a 15-minute break between the two blocks.
